SRWare Iron is a useful desktop application, very similar to the well-known Google Chrome browser. SRWare Iron helps you get a great and secure browsing experience. Although, at first sight, the resemblance between Chrome and this browser is notable due to a similar interface design, when it comes to browsing privacy, SRWare Iron stands out.

Based on the Chromium technology, this web browser provides you with a wide variety of features that can also be found within Google Chrome. For instance, you can browse in private mode (incognito mode) and prevent other users from checking the websites you've visited. There's also an integrated search tool helps you find any information you need from the Internet.

Still, a great disadvantage of using Chrome instead of SRWare Iron is the fact that the first one always keeps track of any search query and your browsing history. In some working environments it's important to keep these information private, away from prying eyes.

Another great thing about using this application is that it brings you a built-in ad blocker. Other programs from the same category don't offer you this useful feature.

To summarize, I definitely recommend to give SRWare Iron a try as it provides you a more secure web navigation experience than most browsers available.

Jigo

Jigo No auto-updater. Basically, it gives you by default everything what you can do manually in Chromium.

Joe Wilsey You get all of the software development expertise of the Chromium Project, with none of the disadvantages. Plus, it can work as a portable app, if you want to carry it with you, that is, if you don't use cloud sync.
